Key64’s Review of Donald Tyson’s Necronomicon Tarot Kit. Posting this link so you can check out their impression of it. We recently purchased this and have been largely pleased with it. The only disappointing element we have found in it is how it can often revert back to feeling like you’re working with a traditional tarot with a grim aesthetic to boot. Despite this not being some unique tool with which you can invoke the elder gods, we felt it cool enough to draw your attention to this review. Key64 also keeps it on lockdown with many other cool articles/review/interviews and more.
In my youth I was driven mad in such an exquiste way by a type of occult chart known as the correspondence table. It’s a way in which unrelated systems because transdisciplinary through overlapping metaphor. I used to spend hours having to make charts, diagrams, look for charts in books I couldn’t afford at stores and make handwritten copies to compare notes. It seemed like somehow through looking at these charts I would be able to program an orderly map of intuitive ideas without being jaded and assaulted by the many word-virus lurking in narrative explanation. Or at the least, I hoped I might be able to explore some interesting off shoots of collective thought patterns. Compressed information downloads ready for the taking, unity between systems. It was beautiful and still is to a degree, despite my not seeing it through the rose-hued lenses I once did. I didn’t find the secret of the cosmos in an obscure correspondence or mathematical formula mapped out in metaphor…it’s a fun search all the same though and helped in visualization techniques as well as brought greater understanding. At one point I was able to abandon the brimming binders of charts I had mostly memorized and began to scan things into my computer from the occult text collection I had aquired…I didn’t get very far at all but I still use it as quick reference sometimes, it saves me the trouble of having to look through text, both physical and digital, in my library sometimes. Here are my Correspondence table scans - consider it a digital accompaniment to Liber 777 if you will….if you’re on a correspondence table kick, I reccomend looking into David Allen Hulse for the most complete collection of tables possible.
