That explosion occurred even as overall military spending in the rest of the world decreased, thus expanding the already-vast gap between our expenditures and the world’s.”

Barack Obama received his wildest applause when lauding America’s businesses, and said nothing new about the bankers who have swindled America blind. The bankers were not called out by name, the name of their company, and in fact Barack Obama went out of his way to say that he’s “not interested in punishing banks.” This belies, for those who remain unsure, that Barack Obama’s “base” is, was, and necessarily must be the financial elite of this country. A large part of his so-called “jobs” program is $30 billion (a pittance compared to the amount given away to Wall Street in their bail out, to say nothing of the bloated Pentagon and State Department budgets) not for job creation, but for “community banks” (whatever that might mean). A massive public works program to repair and improve America’s crumbling infrastructure, while at the same time creating jobs is, of course, totally out of the question.

Those aren’t the only reductions that the Obama Administration has in store, however. Obama also formally announced his much rumored push for a freeze on “discretionary spending.” This spending freeze will not effect the budgets of the military-intelligence community one cent, as their budgets have been enshrined sacred cows since the Reagan Administration, just one of many of Reagan’s broader policy agendas that Barack Obama represents a continuation of.

Again, it is beyond question that Pentagon and the intelligence community need every last cent of their budget which is used to terrorize and enslave the developing world. Spending cuts will effect the people who need them most. On the chopping block are the budgets of the Department of Health and Human Services, Housing and Urban Development, Agriculture, and Transportation. Obama’s cuts also target programs like the National Park Service, the Environmental Protection Agency, and NASA. Another means of dealing with a budget shortfall entirely beyond the pale is raising taxes on businesses or the super wealthy. In fact, Obama proposed to “eliminate all capital gains taxes on small business investment”

Police in the UK are planning to use unmanned spy drones, controversially deployed in Afghanistan, for the ”routine” monitoring of antisocial motorists, protesters, agricultural thieves and fly-tippers, in a significant expansion of covert state surveillance.

The arms manufacturer BAE Systems, which produces a range of unmanned aerial vehicles (UAVs) for war zones, is adapting the military-style planes for a consortium of government agencies led by Kent police.

They reveal the partnership intends to begin using the drones in time for the 2012 Olympics. They also indicate that police claims that the technology will be used for maritime surveillance fall well short of their intended use – which could span a range of police activity – and that officers have talked about selling the surveillance data to private companies.

The surveillance data is fed back to control rooms via monitoring equipment such as high-definition cameras, radar devices and infrared sensors.

One document lists “[detecting] theft from cash machines, preventing theft of tractors and monitoring antisocial driving” as future tasks for police drones, while another states the aircraft could be used for road and railway monitoring, search and rescue, event security and covert urban surveillance.

Record number of young Americans jobless

The U.S. economic recession has taken a particularly heavy toll on young Americans, with a record one out of five black men aged 20 to 24 neither working nor in school, according to research released on Tuesday.

Overall, 26 percent of American teenagers aged 16 to 19 had jobs in late 2009, said the report, which was based on U.S. Census Bureau data. That figure is a record low since statistics began to be kept in 1948, the researchers said.

“Can ethics be quantified? Or, better yet, can a lack of ethics be quantified?

This week, the Swiss research firm Covalence released its annual ranking of the overall ethical performance of multinational corporations. The idea behind the Covalence research is that there’s value — both for companies and consumers — in measuring corporations against an ethical standard. (We’re hoping this idea also applies to Wall Street firms.)

To complete its ethics index, Covalence compiled both quantitative and qualitative data, spanning seven years, for 581 companies. The data encompass 45 criteria that include labor standards, waste management and human rights records. And because it is a reputation index, the Covalence survey also incorporates media, industry and NGO documents into its evaluation.

Monsanto, the Missouri-based agriculture giant, ranked dead last in the Covalence ethical index. The company, which leads the world in the production of genetically-engineered seed, has been subject to myriad criticisms. Among them: the company is accused of frequently and unfairly suing small farmers for patent infringement.”

Robotic Climber wins $900,000 in NASA Space-Elevator challenge.

Building a space elevator would require anchoring a cable on the ground near Earth’s equator and deploying the other end thousands of kilometres into space. The centrifugal force due to Earth’s spin would keep the cable taut so that a robot could climb it and release payloads into orbit.

Though building a space elevator might require an initial investment of billions of dollars, proponents say once constructed, it would make for cheaper trips into space than is possible using rockets. But huge technological hurdles must first be overcome, including how to supply power to the robotic climber.

“I CLAIM THE WORLD!” is the title of a thirty-nine volume history of Man from the Global Deluge through the modern age. It tells of the Protong, the original language of Man, and the source of universal symbols that we all speak through. It tells of the Yetinsyny, the Sons of Yeti, who have brought Man to a degraded state from their ancient nobility, who fiercely resent Men and lust for Women, but who may be redeemed by their study of Art and Science. It tells how we came from Rapa Nui (Easter Island), and how Man and the Yetinsyny have spread across the world. It is the story of Zermatism, and it was authored by the great Polish artist Stanislav Szukalski.

Zermatism was not crafted as a story to accompany Stanislav Szukalski’s copious illustration, painting and sculpture, and Szukalski did not intend for his work to be treated as a grand fiction. Zermatism is a universal science, attempting to show the interrelated nature of all arts and histories, linking all human culture to a common source. The fact that this science points to inbreeding between humans and Yeti as a source of social conflict, or speculates that heat causes gravity, or that the Zermatic Protong is essentially Polish, may surely seem to make the work preposterous, but, as ever, it may not be entirely without value, even as a mad science.

To call Stanislav Szukalski an art prodigy could be considered an understatement: at the age of six, he whittled a near-perfect figure from a pencil, a feat that attracted the attention of local media. Soon after, despite his young age, he applied and was accepted to the Fine Arts Academy in Krakow. However, despite the horrors that seem to follow them, there is hope for the Yetinsyny, as there is hope for all, that the burden of biology can be overcome. In his 1979 essay, “Anthropolitical Motivations”, Szukalski argues that “instead of ostracizing every Yetinsyny in every country, that they may not concoct from one of their political philosophers, Karl Marx, Mao tse Tung, Nietzsche, Bakunin, Kropotkin, or other haters of humanity, encourage them to partake in the arts: creative Art, applied arts, literature, in medicine and all forms of engineering. [...] Why then will they excel in the above branches of creative contribution? Because, as frightfully inferiority-obsessed males and females who NEVER get beautiful human women and men into their beds, they persistently dream of the IMPOSSIBLE. To endure their mental hardships they develop extraordinary patience and such perfect IMAGINATION that almost anything they dream of, they are capable of contriving. Thus, patience and imagination, together with their ANIMAL vitality, make them capable to contribute miracles of inventions in every sphere of interest. They are the nibelungs, the little pixies, the fairies of the legends of every country.””

Unlike Szukalski, the Dobbsians assert that the lineage of the Yetinsyny are the true geniuses of the human world, and that being a son of Yeti brings with it great power, or “slack”. They find no fault in the ancient Yeti, and, instead, argue the Yeti were superior to early humans— a point speculated on, albeit briefly, by Szukalski himself in his studies of the physical form of the North American Bigfoot.

The fact that the Dobbsians are presently the ones carrying the torch of Zermatic theory forward may give any scientific mind cause for pause, especially in light of the fact that their hardline, fundamentalist theological positions are utterly contrary to the methods of true Science. Indeed, it must be said that in order for Zermatism to find real grounding, it must be preserved against the intrusions of the fringe religious, and brought firmly back to the domain of scientific inquiry.”

Nanowire network measures cells’ electrical signals

Electrical signals from different parts of the same cell have been simultaneously recorded for the first time, thanks to a new technique for attaching nanowire probes. This could aid the study of how heart, muscle and brain cells function and communicate.

The method uses a device called a nanowire field effect transistor (NWFET). This consists of a silicon wire just 20 nanometres in diameter attached to metal electrodes on a substrate of silicon dioxide. The nanowire, which sticks out by 30 to 40 nanometres, can be used as a probe to amplify the electrical signals produced by anything it touches.

They grow heart cells taken from chicken embryos on transparent polymer substrates and then transfer the cells to the nanowire array. Each cell is then positioned over up to 10 nanowires with the aid of a microscope. “We can do measurements that weren’t possible before,” says Lieber.

Besides making simultaneous measurements from different parts of the same cell, the wires can record the signals produced by several cells in the same tissue culture at the same time.

Modern wetware is a less disappointing field to look at all the time.

“The idea of secret banking cabals that control the country and global economy are a given among conspiracy theorists who stockpile ammo, bottled water and peanut butter. After this week’s congressional hearing into the bailout of American International Group Inc., you have to wonder if those folks are crazy after all.

Wednesday’s hearing described a secretive group deploying billions of dollars to favored banks, operating with little oversight by the public or elected officials.

We’re talking about the Federal Reserve Bank of New York, whose role as the most influential part of the federal-reserve system — apart from the matter of AIG’s bailout — deserves further congressional scrutiny.

The New York Fed is in the hot seat for its decision in November 2008 to buy out, for about $30 billion, insurance contracts AIG sold on toxic debt securities to banks, including Goldman Sachs Group Inc., Merrill Lynch & Co., Societe Generale and Deutsche Bank AG, among others. That decision, critics say, amounted to a back-door bailout for the banks, which received 100 cents on the dollar for contracts that would have been worth far less had AIG been allowed to fail.”

“The research work of Eugen and Lily Kolisko in the 1920s and 30s introduced the idea that certain celestial events had a profound effect on metals, and that the ancient traditional relationships between specific metals and planets could be demonstrated via laboratory experiment. The process of these experiments involved placing cylinders of special filter paper into dishes which held measured amounts of the various metal salts. Then, the capillary patterns which subsequently emerged, could be studied with reference to specific solar system events (a complete detailed description of the experimental process is contained in the book, The Metal-Planet Relationship by Nick Kollerstrom, available from BSRF). Early on, the Koliskos observed the effects that the moon’s phases had on solutions of silver chloride, and that profound effects could be viewed during lunar eclipses.

This information prompted the idea that lunar influence could produce exceptional differences in the quality of electrochemically produced colloidal silver. We immediately began preparing the necessary experimental equipment for the upcoming lunar eclipse (March 23, 1997, 8:45PM PST). Two CS-300 colloidal silver generators were used for the electrochemical process and a digital countdown timer would ensure that each batch ran for the exact prescribed time of 20 minutes. The first and second of four batches were initiated just prior to, and during the eclipse, and the last two just after the eclipse. The electrodes were checked and cleaned before each batch was run to assure a consistent voltage throughout the experimental run. The water used was distilled and was provided from the same bottle, and then pre-measured into 8 oz. glasses of identical size and make. Normal batches of colloidal silver produced in this way yield a count of about 6000 to 8000 ppb (parts per billion) of silver.”

The biological submarine once had the attention of the German War Lords, but Viktor Schauberger made it look as though it were not very useful, as in his opinion, biotechnology is for supporting progress and not for destruction. This submarine idea was taken from the observation of fish, especially of trout, which can stand motionless in a flowing stream, just by taking water in and out. This process has two functions, first it creates a vacuum in front of the mouth into which the fish gets sucked, and at the same time provides food, as the water contains all that the fish needs. While the food goes into the digestive system, the water is forced through the fan-like structure of the gills, which not only absorb the oxygen needed,but also push the water backwards. This specially compressed water does not mingle right away with the rest, it glides along the conical body like a wedge and shoves it forward. In addition, on the scales it forms little whirls which enhance the push further.

However, Viktor Schauberger was not the sole observer of this phenomenon. Before him others not only formed the same idea but even constructed prototypes with some results. One inventor, A. Bomer, came to the conclusion that the speedy motion of a fish is relative to the size of its gills. He constructed a boat with a precise opening in its bow, where a turbine sucked in water like a fish, and pushed it out through slit-like exit ports in such a way that it glided along the hull like a sheet, not only separating it from the friction of the outside water, but also giving it an additional push forward. Further, he applied such skin depressions like sharks have on his ship’s hull, presuming that they cause small swirls, and so increased the forward motion. Bomer even incorporated the slippery skin layer that fishes have by applying oil to the hull to reduce friction. He hoped all this would bring a 60-80% reduction in fuel. Indeed, experiments with his boat FORELLE, meaning ‘trout’, achieved twice the speed, while still using the same amount of fuel.

Apparently, Bomer did not know the spiral-vortex, which is an invention of Viktor Schauberger. If property applied, it will not only increase speed, but also reduce fuel consumption to a minimum!

This drawing by Dipl. Ing. Water Schauberger, Viktor’s son, shows such a submarine. His bio-technical submarine has a movable bow, which gives the boat the flexibility fish have. The conical and rifled water-intake permits a variable step-up, creating a strong torque on the water, which, after entering the implosion turbine, will be intensified to such a pitch, that now its recoil (resonance) is driving it instead of the motor, as bio-technical applications always have a pull and push action. Such a turbine consist of tapered-down pipes with inside rifling which are bent into spirals. Such FREE ENERGY is not a question of time, rather the will to use it, as it already exists, giving us a chance to move on water, under it and in the air using only a fraction of the energy we use today!

This list seems to suggest that by 2030 we may have a very different map for sectors demanding workforce labor. There’s some interesting proposals for what the future of our employment may look like: Nano-medics, Vertical farmers, Commercial space-travel tour-guides, Memory Augmentations, Weather modification police, Waste-data handlers and Virtual Clutter organizers. The future of employment sounds promising in atleast that it has a possibility to be slightly more fulfilling with such wacky jobs coming to the forefront.

Most theories that come out of the fringe are wrong. Hardly a point of any real contention to be sure. The world of kook science is populated by colourful wonks, unyielding grouches, the highly uneducated, the utterly mad, and, as follows, they’re usually working from cues that do not correspond to what is known about the world.

It is equally clear that we can never discount anything, no matter how ridiculous the theory or weird the theorist. It is as important to present alternative theories, to challenge them, as it is any conventional theory, because sometimes, just sometimes, the kooks have it right, and the world had it wrong all along.
